The Shuswap Has Heart – our way to give! 

We started this business because we LOVE where we live, and our hearts beat for the Shuswap and everything it has to offer. This design depicts how we feel.

However, it also tells another story. A story of the bravest girl we know. Her heart beats because of the selfless generosity of her donor family, and for that we could not be more grateful. Britton inspires us everyday to be mindful, grateful, and to live for every moment. Giving back is a huge part of why we started this business, and  we could not be more excited to share that 100% of all sales of this sticker will go to the charities close to our hearts.  

Our Current Charity:

Pediatric Heart Transplant Camp for Stollery Children's Hospital heart transplant kids & their families!

This annual camp is organized by Britton’s transplant team at the Stollery Children's Hospital in Edmonton AB.  The Stollery  provides specialized medical care and treatment for children all over western & northern Canada.

Camp weekend is an opportunity for heart transplant kids to come together with their families and bond.  The adults receive educational sessions put on by people in the transplant field.  The transplant kids and their siblings get to play with each other and meet others with a similar journey.  They also have the opportunity to try a number of camp activities including: archery, horseback riding, rock climbing, canoeing, rope walks, obstacle course, crafts & more!  The weekend also includes a talent show competition, s’more around the campfire, a group activity to remember and honor our organ donors and on the final day a group soccer match is played!

Staff from the Stollery (physicians, fellows, nurses, residents, admin etc) are there too, volunteering their time organizing and helping out. It’s so nice to see each other outside of the hospital and the trauma. 

The goal is to offer this camp to families free of charge.  Cabin accommodations, all meals and activities are included.  Currently the camp is without a major sponsorship, so many efforts are made to raise funds and keep the program running.  Every dollar counts though – so this is our effort to help make a direct difference for Britton and her peers.
